All The World's A Stage is a new musical by Adam Gwon (Ordinary Days) with a heartlifting story about being true to who you are, and a tribute to the courage of teachers who risk everything to mentor and inspire their students. Directed by Matthew Gardiner with musical direction by Marika Countouris, the production is a rallying cry for the importance of art in seeing us through the marginalization of an increasingly divided world. All The World's A Stage lands at the Signature Theatre this year.

The enchanting Victorian tale of Mary Lennox and her magical garden returns to the stage, with a new production directed by Ethan Heard! This musical adaptation of Frances Hodgson Burnett's classic children's novel was created by Lucy Simon (Doctor Zhivago) with book and lyrics by Pulitzer Prize-winning writer Marsha Norman. Winning two Tony Awards on its original Broadway run, this new revival is stunningly reimagined for the intimate surroundings of the Signature Theater stage.

The award-winning playwright and performer Ngozi Anyanwu (Homecoming Queen, Good Grief) brings The Monsters for its DC premiere, directed by Tiffany Nicole Greene. A story about the love that exists between siblings obsessed with the thrill of mixed martial arts, the play has proved to be a knockout since making its Off-Broadway debut in 2026; its tale of redemption making the two-hander a brilliant addition to the theatre season.

A Mountain for Elodie is a new, autobiographical musical written and performed by award-winning singer-songwriter Benjamin Scheuer, directed by Sim Campbell and running at the Signature Theatre in spring 2027. The production follows on from Scheuer's critically acclaimed, Drama Desk Award-winning solo show The Lion. Performed by Scheuer alongside a live band, narrative songwriting explores the trials, tribulations and decisions we must make to navigate modern adulthood, in a show that won great acclaim from the BBC and Playbill upon its Edinburgh Fringe debut.

Returning to the Signature after 20 years, The story of friendships put through the show business ringer, Merrily We Roll Along boasts a tricksy, non-linear narrative and some of Stephen Sondheim's most playful numbers, including 'Rich and Happy,' and 'Franklin Shepard, Inc.' Written in collaboration with George Furth, Merrily We Roll Along premiered on Broadway in 1981, where it was met with less than ecstatic reviews. Luckily for us, however, the show's reputation has steadily grown over the years!

Debuting at the Public Theater back in 2017, Leguizamo's "funny and surprisingly poignant" (New York Times) one-man show transferred to Broadway's Studio 54 the same year, garnering a Tony nomination in the process. Now heading to the Signature Theatre featuring Brian Quijada as part of their 2026-27 season, enjoy this history lesson that taps into what it truly means to be an American.
