What Is The Story?

Ten-year-old Mary Lennox has lived a privileged yet lonely existence in British colonial-era India, but her life is turned upside down when her parents are killed in a cholera epidemic. Shipped back to England and into the care of a distant relative on the wild Yorkshire Moors, as Mary explores the estate's huge grounds, she comes across an old brass key, which unlocks a hidden and overgrown walled garden. As she sets about tending to the garden, a change comes over Mary... as well as everyone else in the estate.
