I NEVER GROW TIRED OF HARVEY

I laughed a lot and the time just flew by because Harvey is so well performed that it is not to be missed. I almost wished I had my own rabbit as a best friend.

EXCELLENT, POWERFUL, MOVING PERFORMANCE

This show was incredible. I’ve been to many dance shows in my life and have never seen such extraordinary storytelling through dance. I wasn’t previously a fan of Sting, but the way they used his music in this performance sold me. The story was very powerful and moving. Beautifully talented dancers. We sat towards the front which helped a lot - I think much would be missed by sitting farther back.

MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE

last night shaw was beautyful, emotional, original, amazing dancing and story telling, just briliant, the only draw back was the very loud volume of Stings beautyful music, it was painfull to the ear,

FABULOUS!

We saw Message in a Bottle last night. The dancing was absolutely incredible! The set and video backdrop was visually engaging and the music was great! Well worth seeing!

ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL

First I was awed by the dancers’ energy and expression. The story was conveyed in such a way that it was not completely literal but very poignant nonetheless. I loved the minimal staging. The way the dancers interacted was very moving and I loved seeing the joy and abandonment with which they performed. The only downside was the volume of the music. It didn’t need to be quite so loud. Kudos to Kate Prince and all the dancers!

MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE

My husband and I saw Message In A Bottle in Boston last night. It was a breathtaking dance performance telling a heart breaking story. At times the dancers seemed to defy gravity while sailing across the stage to the perfect collection of Sting's songs. It brought tears to my eyes twice. Once in the first act and once in the second. The only negative is that it's stay in Boston is way too short!

MAGNIFICENT AND MOVING

I have loved Sting's music for years and was excited to see the choreography that would be chosen to go along with it and it was absolutely stunning. The incredible athleticism of the dancers.... The creativity of the staging to match the storyline.....it was also touched in all the emotions and was so human and raw at times. I loved it so much.

EXCELLENT DANCING, MOVING PERFORMANCE!

The dancers were amazing and the performance was very moving. The storyline used Sting's songs perfectly. I cannot believe someone said that the dancing and choreography were terrible. Please do not listen to that review. The dancers got a standing ovation! I highly recommend.

WOW AND I DON’T EVEN LIKE HIP-HOP!!! DO NOT MISS!!

I have danced classical ballet my entire life and taught ballet for 15 years. My mother told me I was a ballet snob but I will tell you this is probably one of the best shows I have ever seen!! I also happen to adore Sting and I loved how they created the storyline with his music. The dancers were absolutely incredible and gave 150%! So much power, acting, energy and spirit!!! Thank you for coming to Boston!!

AMAZING

Beautifully choreographed, music and dance blended so well together with the entire story. Special effects were great.

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!

I had no idea what to expect (think Kevin Costner Message in a Bottle to song…) I was taken back at first with no orchestra or song…but it was AMAZING! The dancers gave 150% and were incredible. The choreography was out of this world! I will see it again.

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!

My husband and I saw the show Wednesday night at the Kennedy Center. I was enthralled. I loved the dancing. I loved the storytelling. I felt like a part of the story. I said on the way out...."It's like Sting's Mama Mia. A beautiful story, told with Sting's lyrics. We both said we could go back and watch it again!!!

5.0 star rating Brenda from Washington, District of Columbia

A BEAUTIFUL EXPERIENCE

I really don't know how to state I words the experience I had seeing this performance. It's thought provoking, engaging, beautifully choreographed, great dancing, and a real story. The theater was VERY comfortable!! Don't let others ruin the experience for you. YOU go...YOU experience...YOU decide.

ALL SENSES STING WITH BEAUTY AND POWER

An experience to see, hear, and deeply feel. The choreography was incredible and the songs were brought to a new life with the story that could be the present, the past, or the fate of humanity. Bravo to the dancers that told the story with their incredible athleticism and artistry. The sets and costumes were clever and cool and dignified and often dramatically disturbing to support the cast. I’ve been a huge Sting fan and this show really brings his best back to the future. It was like nothing I could have imagined. Bravo!

MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE

Finally something worth seeing and talking about!!! Loved it… the mix of great music newly treated and many styles of dance not usually melded together made it a fresh and entertaining event! I actually came to tears a couple of times… not sure why other than these people were human and were trying to communicate with me. Go see it …. I loved it!!!

PHENOMENAL DANCERS BUT LACKED POWER

We just went last night, and they did have a few technical issues. No problem. It was slow to start the show, and coming back from intermission it took forever. So we left. They did not announce why it took a long time to start coming back from intermission. The dancers were out of this world, but it was a bit boring. And I got confused on the storyline. Maybe if it were in a smaller venue it would have worked. I think having it at the Buell really was not a good idea. Because you have to really create a powerful voice or message to reach people in the back. Unless they were talking, or a different story. Something was lacking. And the dancers were not really at fault. You can tell they did their best. But overall the show was a bit boring.

RECORDED MUSIC ON BAD SOUND SYSTEM

Sat in first row, way too loud and asked to be moved. No live music, singing or dialogue. Dancing was good not great. Costumes and set very low budget, simple and plain. 2 stars because I liked and knew the songs.

BORING DANCE SHOW

The show was a disappointment. The dancing was average. Choreography was not entertaining. The storyline was not clear and confusing. The show was just simply boring..

MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE ...ALONE AT SEA

Totally ill chereographed... without any thread of continuity....song after song being danced to stings music..which I found myself closing my eyes just to listen to the music... the dancing.. had some talented members but the rest are mediocre and horrible actually see let alone pay 200 dollars to see.. the incompetent choreography painfully drags on to force us to witness redundant, hip hop and breakable moves as if I was watching excerpts from the movie beat street that Lester Wilson cherographed at the start of the hip hop movement. Would it work in one or two pieces..yes it would but not 27.. this is not cirque du solely and its not a gymnastics competion.. I found all in all the show insulting to my sensibility and was turned into a show to the new social standard which we must be forced to accept and to watch it being stuck down our throats ..no subtleties here but blatant sexual and moral bias , clearly in the hands of an amateur.. I'm sorry I may a minority but I'm from the old theatre school, from the way things used to be and the way things ought to be are now simy being replaced with the way things are.. if you want a completely and totally forgettable piece of dance theatre then run to see message in a bottle.. I'm more upset for sting who could have gotten someone else...anyone else to actually cherograph to his iconic and mellifluous songs that have now been prostituted and vandalized in this steaming pile of horse caca... go and clap like an idiot me too movement member or stand your grand and sit or walk out disgust to protect the integrity of the American theatre..perhaps this and Shen Yun can do a joint seminar in overproduced and badly cherographed pieces at a local community college

1.0 star rating Marcus from Toronto, Ontario

UNCOMFORTABLE EXPERIENCE

The theater is heated to an extreme level...apparently for the dancer's preferences, but it felt like 35c and people were suffering! Also, the sound quality is downright painful, too loud and with way too much piercing midrange. They also smoke the entire audience for effect, but with the heat, it made it hard to breathe. Both my son and I got headaches after 20 min and had to leave, and we were not the only ones. The dancing was OK, but when one is in such discomfort, you hardly pay attention to it. If you enjoy waterbording, you may enjoy it. Otherwise, stay clear.
