David Ives Translaptation Comedy Comes To Washington, DC

The hilarious comedy The Panties, The Partner and The Profit sees the lives of three generations forever altered due to one faulty waistband on a pair of underwear. The play is based on three German comedies which together tell the tale of The Mask Family from 1950 to 1986, through to the present day.

Adapted from the 1970 collection of stories 'Scenes from the Heroic Life of the Middle Class,' written by Carl Sternheim, the play is one of Ives' best works and has a lot to say about today's society. Ives is best known for being a social satirist who creates amusing one-act comedic plays and through The Panties, The Partner and The Profit has created an exciting story filled with lovers spats, pistol fights, and a potential apocalypse. Ives latest creation is a must see!
