Why See Trevor Noah?
He's found his unique voice in the Trump era
A truly international man of comedy, the rise of South African-born Noah has been nothing short of stratospheric. The surprise successor to take over from Jon Stewart on the Emmy-winning Daily Show, he has since made it very much his own with his boyish charm yet incredibly sharp insights into the news, especially following the shock result of the Presidential election. His show clips are the Youtube gifts that keep on giving, with millions of downloads daily, criss-crossing the planet. Using sharp wit, intelligent commentary and unmistakable charm, his use of brutal subjects and disarming honesty has established him as one of the foremost young comedians of his generation.
One of comedy's brightest new stars, his comedy mainly led by themes around his mixed-race heritage and identity, his experiences growing up in a Soweto township during apartheid, and his observations on American life. His 2016 Lost in Translation tour was his first national tour in the States, followed up with his hugely successful Netflix special, Afraid Of The Dark in early 2017.

Karnin's play is more than just a popular chestnut. It's also a biting commentary on the corrupting influence of money on politics that feels all too relevant today.
