Side Show

Written by Henry Krieger and Bull Russell, Side Show tells the extraordinary true story of Daisy and Violet Hill, a pair of conjoined twins who rose to fame on the vaudeville circuit during the Great Depression. It follows their turbulent love lives and storied careers, which began in roadside freak shows and included starring appearances in Tod Browning's infamous 1932 movie, Freaks.

This revival of the Broadway original incorporates new songs and takes a slightly darker approach to the material than the 1997 original, and presents its 'freaks' in a much more visual way than the original dared to. The revival premiered at the La Jolla Playhouse last year to great acclaim, and may even have Broadway in its sights! The Oscar-Nominated Bill Condon, who wrote the screenplay for 2002's Chicago, is directing.
