A welcome return for the ABT's beloved production of Miguel de Cervantes' sweeping tale of romance and chivalry! Vibrant, joyful, and full of heart-stopping moments, this staging by Kevin McKenzie and Susan Jones truly embodies the full texture of Petipa and Gorsky's classic original.
In 17th Century La Mancha, Don Quixote has his head turned by a book full of fantastical legends and stories. In his reverie, he falls for Dulcinea, the fictional heroine of old. Deciding to return to the times of Chivalry, he sets out on a quest for adventure with his ever-faithful servant Sancho in toe.
