Canadian metallers on tour
Canadian metal band Spiritbox are hitting the road across North America this spring, bringing their uniquely genre-hopping heavy show to fans across the country! Fronted by one of today's most versatile metal voices in Courtney LaPlante, the three-piece - consisting of LaPlante, guitarist Mike Stringer and drummer Zev Rosenthal - hit number 13 in the Billboard 200 with their debut album Eternal Blue in 2021, which also reached the top-20 in five other countries.
Husband and wife duo LaPlante and Stringer formed the band in 2017 after the breakup of their previous band Iwrestledabearonce. Joined onstage for this tour by bass guitarist Josh Gilbert (As I Lay Dying, Wovenwar), critics have found it difficult to pigeonhole their one-of-a-kind sound, describing it variously as metalcore, djent, nu-metal and even electronic rock, and LaPlante's ability to seamlessly switch from a brutal death-growl to crystal clear singing has been widely praised.
