Why see Ellen DeGeneres?

The Last Stand...Up Tour

She's back - for the last time! Comedian, presenter, and undoubted national treasure Ellen DeGeneres returns to her roots with a series of stand-up shows this summer titled Ellen's Last Stand... Up Tour! Expect to hear Ellen's side of the story alongside some classic Degerenres observations as the iconic celebrity performs her final curtain call.

Ellen made her breakthrough as a comic in the 1980s, before going on to star in her own ABC sitcom. Ellen, which ran for five seasons, made history when its star announced 'I'm gay!' during the iconic Puppy Episode. Since then, Ellen has hosted the Oscars, created a daytime TV staple with The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and continued to be an outspoken proponent of LGBTQ rights.

Ellen's been keeping busy since bidding farewell to her talk show. She's traded the Hollywood spotlight for the peaceful serenity of her garden, where she's been nurturing her green thumb and collecting pet chickens.

We needed positive vibes

Ellen lifted us all up. We are tired from smoke, politics, grieving orcas, etc. Then Ellen came and for a hilarious hour and a half we were lifted up, our burdens gone. She is even more lovable in person. I am so glad I was able to attend. Thank you Ellen for a fabulous night in Seattle. ... Read more

Ellen, only read the positive posts!

It was our 21st anniversary as we watched Ellen tonight. If it wasn’t for Ellen I probably would not have come out (which I did because I realized I was gay as I watched her “I’m gay” sitcom with tears rolling down my face. So my wife and I have a special place in our hearts. Not to mention we named our ducklings (chickens with shoehorn lips) Ellen, Oprah and Reese. Ellen turned into Allen once we realized at 6 months he was a boy. But I digress (yes, I too am old, have ADD, am rushing home to check on the aging mom who lives with us, the dogs and ducks. Anyway, back to Ellen… she is good for the soul, part nostalgia part good ol’ fashioned funny as hell. I am so happy she has survived the haters that tried to ruin her career twice. She continues to give us laughter and love after all these years. ... Read more
