Bombay Bicycle Club Break Their Hiatus
Breaking their three year break with a triumphant headline slot at the UK-based Wilderness Festival, English quartet Bombay Bicycle Club are back in the saddle with a brand new, as yet unnamed album and a North American fall tour in the works! Formed in their teens in the mid 2000s, the celebrated indie rockers won the Virgin Mobile Battle-of-the-Bands in 2006 and were launched out of relative obscurity into the mainstream spotlight.
Capitalising on the win, the boys used the momentum to self release their upbeat, reverb-drenched, post-punk, pop-tinged rock and gain much critical acclaim in the process. They hit their stride with their fourth and seemingly final album, So Long And See You Tomorrow in early 2014, topping the UK charts in the process. A statement from the band confirms their return with much optimism and a fresh outlook on their music - 'More than anything it just felt great to be in the same room playing again. It made us realise what a good thing we have and has given us renewed energy and enthusiasm for the future.'
