Why see The Bedwetter?
Washington Transfer
Sarah Silverman is taking her talents to the nation's capital with the Washington transfer of The Bedwetter, a musical adaptation of her bestselling 2010 memoir. In collaboration with playwright Joshua Harmon and the late composer Adam Schlesinger, Silverman has co-written the book and lyrics for this heartfelt and hilarious show, diving deep into her own childhood for a story of courage, redemption... and pee.
The musical follows 10-year-old Sarah as she navigates life with an embarrassing secret. The Bedwetter brings to life the quirky, bittersweet tales from Silverman's memoir, including her family's dynamics, her early comedic inspirations, and the challenges of growing up. Prepare for a show that is as funny as it is touching!
About The D.C Production
Anne Kauffman returns to direct the D.C. production after helming the world premiere. However, it seems this new staging won't be a direct replica of the Off-Broadway version. Danny Mefford, a fresh addition to the team, will handle choreography for the Arena run. Additional creative team members and casting details will be announced at a later date.
