NSO Celebrates Washington Music
In a celebration of some of the greatest musical names ever to come out of Washington D.C., the National Symphony Orchestra perform the music of local legends turned global history makers, including Marvin Gaye, Duke Ellington, Chuck Brown, John Philip Sousa and others! Conducted by Kellen Gray, the concert will also feature appearances from top local musicians, bringing together a fitting tribute to the originality of D.C.!
Conductor Gray joins from his regular posting as associate artist of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and assistant conductor of the English National Opera. Known for his versatility and for promoting the music of African-diaspora artists, he's a fitting leader for NSO's interpretations of works by some of the greatest African-American musicians of all time.
