Why see Some Like It Hot?

Don't Let The Flame Go Out, Some Like It Hot

See the four-time Tony Award-winning musical!

The classic black and white romantic comedy Some Like It Hot bursts onto the stage in full technicolor, in a new imagining of Billy Wilder's 1959 musical mobster classic! Widely considered one of the most influential filmmakers of the Golden Era of Hollywood cinema, Wilder brought together screen legends Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon for bonafide box office success, creating one of the most beloved films of the MGM canon in the process. Now in the modern age, Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman (the writing, composing and directing duo behind Tony-winning musical Hairspray), playwrights Matthew Lopez (Inheritance) and Amber Ruffin (The Amber Ruffin Show) and choreographer Casey Nicholaw (Dream Girls, The Book Of Mormon, Aladdin) combined to create this brilliant stage musical adaptation, which won four Tony Awards during its 2022 Broadway run!

What Is Some Like It Hot About?

As American as a farce can get, Some Like It Hot begins with a Mafia murder witnessed by smooth-operating saxophone player Joe and his room and bandmate Jerry. Masters of improvisation in jazz and in their everyday lives, they find a way to escape Chicago before being sent to sleep with the fishes. Disguising themselves as women, they join an all-female jazz ensemble and hop on a train to Florida. Later, Joe dons the persona of a wealthy businessman to win over the outfit's feisty frontwoman Sugar and Jerry finds himself being pursued by a real millionaire whilst the mobsters close in...

Some Like It Hot

The show was a theatrical marvel! The tapping was outstanding, and the music reminiscent of old Broadway! The story s a ridiculously delightful meshing of past and present, and the result of it all is a great night at the theatre. For anyone in the audience who has ever taken dance lessons, the sound of the tapping board brings back fond memories of dancing on the old Mosque stage. Enjoy the acting, dancing, and singing in this entertaining show. A must see! I bet you won’t be able to keep your feet from tapping. ... Read more

This show is a MUST see

I saw this performance last night with my sister. She had never seen the movie and was not familiar with the stage production either. My family have watched the movie many times but I had no idea were was a stage performance. We were ready for a funny, enjoyable night of song and dance but we had no idea how much better it was on stage!!! Being very much allies, the performance was such a lovely twist on the movie and we enjoyed it immensely! We really wished we could have jammed out with them all!! I had to break out the Kleenex when Daphne sang "You could have knocked me over with a feather ". Those words, I didn't know the girl I would fall in love with would be me just really pulled at our heart strings. When Daphne introduced themselves as both Gerald and Daphne we stood up and cheered wildly. Such a wonderful wonderful message to share with the world! Thank you to all you made this performance possible!!! ... Read more
