Performance wow- sound ugh!

Hozier's performance was exceptional, soulful and enthusiastic. And the audience was terrific, showing a deep appreciation of the artist. But the sound was atrocious, with delicate vocals often buried under badly overdriven amplification. This might be overlooked for headbangers, but did a great disservice to this more nuanced music. This was an amazing concert!! Hozier said he was a little under the weather, but you could not tell; he didn’t miss a beat…literally! I was a “meh” fan of his, but after seeing him live…wow! His bad is super talented and his guest performer as well. Love the diversity in his band and the talent was so good, you felt like any one of them could go solo and still be fantastic.
