The Modern Musical Classic

The show that took the world by storm pirouettes into Arlington this winter. Featuring songs by Elton John, Billy Elliot is set against the backdrop of the 1984 Miner's Strike in England, and follows a working-class boy who defies everyone to follow his dream of dancing ballet.

Based on the Bafta-winning musical, Billy Elliot the Musical debuted in London's West End in 2005, and scooped up four Olivier Awards. It replicated its success on Broadway, winning ten Tonys, and has since become a favorite of national theatres across America. This Signature Theatre production is directed and choreographed by Matthew Gardiner.
