Why See Dave?
Starring Drew Gehling
A brand new world premiere musical is coming to the Arena Stage this summer. Inspired by the Oscar-nominated 1993 film, Dave tells the story of Dave Kovic, a run of the mill high-school teacher who is thrust into the most coveted role in the world, the President of the United States!
Composed by two time Tony winner and Pulitzer Prize winner Tom Kitt (Next to Normal), with a book written by three time Tony winner Thomas Meehan (Annie, The Producers, Hairspray), directed by Tina Landau and with star of Broadway's Waitress, Drew Gehling leading the cast as Dave, its safe to say that this musical adaptation is in safe hands!

The show is every bit as grand, electric, quiet, and transportive as its Broadway counterpart; in certain actors' cases, perhaps even more so!
