Whats In A Name?

Be witness to the story of the world's most famous star-crossed lovers as it unfolds through vivid characterization, clear dramatic structure, and masterful dancing in choreographic legend John Cranko's exemplary approach of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.

Set in Verona, it's a story of a long feud between the Montague and Capulet families. Romeo from house Montague falls deeply in love with Juliet Capulet and the feeling is mutual, however, this romance comes with a tragic cost.

Did You Know

The ballet Romeo and Juliet was created by choreographer John Cranko for the Stuttgart Ballet and had its world premiere in 1962. It reaped instant praise from both critics and audiences, it was first seen in the US in 1969. Set to Sergei Prokofiev's most touching score, this introduced the world to Cranko's storytelling gift. Today it is admired as an ageless masterpiece of unequaled beauty, performed by ballet companies across the world!
