An essential part of the wintertime festivities, The Nutcracker, set to Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's iconic score, will take your breath away with its dazzling costumes, set design and mesmerising dancing. Prepare to be carried away to the magical Land Of Sweets where toys come to life and children frolic among kings and queens! This season marks a return of BalletWest 2017's premiere - with fresh sets, dazzling special effects and new costumes meet the much celebrated choreography and music!
What Is The Nutcracker About?
They say strange things happen when the bell tolls midnight and at midnight on Christmas eve, little Clara awakes to find her beloved Nutcracker doll alive and dancing! Together they journey to the magical Land Of Sweets, are granted an audience with the enchanting Sugar Plum Fairy and must battle the fearsome Mouse King!
Opening night: 5 December 2018

One hour and 50 minutes long including a 20-minute intermission
