This is one small step for man...
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration turns 60 this year and in a special concert, joins with the NSO Pops to celebrate over half a century of space exploration and discovery. Alongside jaw-dropping projections from the Hubble Telescope, the ISS and more, you'll hear excerpts from pieces inspired by the cosmos, including favorites of the movies, television and beyond.
Ever fascinating, the multitudes of space have long since puzzled and delighted mankind, and since time immemorial, we have channeled our feelings into creating great art based on its wonders. Not only will the evening include fabulous science fact as provided by NASA but you'll also experience highlights from some of Sci-fi's best works including 2001 A Space Odyssey, Star Wars and Star Trek.
