Why See National Symphony Orchestra - Brandy?

Brandy Makes Her Orchestral Debut

Iconic 90s songstress, actress and producer Brandy took the world by storm when her 1994 self-titled debut album hit quadruple platinum in the US and subsequently starred in the smash hit sitcom Moesha. In recent years, the celebrated R&B performer has turned her considerable talents towards the stage, making her first ever Broadway bow as Roxie Hart in the Tony-winning revival of quintessential gangster musical Chicago in 2017. Don't miss another first for Brandy when she joins the National Symphony for two hotly anticipated evenings, marking her orchestral debut with a program of songs that have defined her stellar career.

After six seasons of Moesha, Brandy returned to her R&B roots and once again conquered the charts with popular duet 'The Boy Is Mine' featuring Monica in 1998, which became on the of the longest running number 1 singles in the history of popular music. This was followed by her Grammy Award-winning sophomore album Never Say Never just months later. Four smash hit albums and 20 years later, Brandy proved herself a master of reinvention - her stint as Roxie drew much critical acclaim for delivering a knock out vocal performance with a generous helping of sassiness in the coveted musical theater role.
