National Symphony Orchestra - Babyface

This is old-school R&B with a fine glass finish, the musicianship and production audibly expensive and the man's voice so honeyed it presumably requires the attentions of worker bees

Celebrate the legendary career of Pop producer Babyface

Kenneth 'Babyface' Edmonds is the songwriting genius behind many well known pop hits, starting from the 80s right on up to the present. Inducted into the Songwriting Hall of Fame last year, the producer has over 26 number one hits and 11 Grammy wins under his belt. For the first time ever, he'll be performing songs from throughout his career with a full orchestra in the form of the NSO Pops!

Helmed by renowned film composer, bandleader and conductor Tim Davies, the presentation will begin with a special arrangement of several Babyface works, performed by students of the Duke Ellington School Of The Arts. There'll be the new jack swing hits he wrote for Paula Abdul and Michael Jackson, the smooth and soulful R&B numbers he wrote for TLC and Toni Braxton, the powerhouse pop written for Ariana Grande and Jessica Sanchez, and of course his own fresh material.
