In the 1970s businesses are being shut down around The Hill District of Pittsburgh in the name of 'urban renewal.' A group of jitney drivers must do what they can to survive and ensure that residents are having their travelling needs met. In this fantastic play we learn all there is to know about the drivers, their lives and the journeys they make.

Established in 1950, Arena Stage is a not-for-profit regional theater based in Southwest Washington, D.C. It is now located at the Mead Center for American Theater complex since its renovation and opening in 2010. The renovation included the construction of a third small theater in a complex with two different style and shaped theatres. The company's average annual audience is over 300,000. Its productions have received numerous local and national awards, including the Tony Award for best regional theater.
