Rosie O'Donnell Joins The Cast Of The Music Man
The full cast has been announced.
Rosie O'Donnell, a favorite of stage and screen, is the latest star to join the Kennedy Center's upcoming staging of The Music Man. O'Donnell will be stepping into the role of Mrs. Paroo, alongside Jessie Mueller as Marian Paroo and Norm Lewis as Harold Hill.
O'Donnell's previous Broadway credits include Grease, Seussical and Fiddler on the Roof, with the star awarded with the Isabelle Stevenson Award in 2014 for her work as the founder of the arts-education organization, Rosie's Theater Kids. O'Donnell was also awarded a 1999 Emmy for her hosting of the 52nd annual Tony's telecast.
The production, which will run between February 6 - 10, will also star John Cariani as Marcellus Washburn, Veanne Cox as Eulalie Mackecknie Shinn, David Pittu as Charlie Cowell, Damon Gillespie as Tommy Djilas, Eloise Kropp as Zaneeta Shin, Sam Middleton as Winthrop Paroo, Emmy Elizabeth Liu-Wang as Amaryllis.

Con-man Harold Hill is on a mission to make a quick buck. Despite not knowing the difference between a trombone and a piano Harold sets about tricking the people of River City, Iowa, into funding his brand new boy's band. Hoping to skip town with his stash of cash his plan is foiled as he begins to fall in love with Marian, the towns Librarian.
