Originally released in 1922, the novel written by Sinclair Lewis (Nobel Prize winner), garnered immense popularity and critical acclaim. Now, over 100 years later, Tony Award-winning playwright Joe DiPietro has teamed up with Hollywood star Matthew Broderick (who makes his Shakespeare Theatre Company debut) to bring this much anticipated new production to Harmon Hall this fall.

After critical success on Broadway, Jocelyn Bioh's Jaja's African Hair Braiding comes to Arena Stage's Kreeger Theatre, directed by Whitney White! Ghanaian-American writer and actor Bioh previously penned the emotional comedy School Girls; Or, The African Mean Girls Play, which won the Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Play. Whitney White is an award-winning director, musician, and actor and is the recipient of an Obie Award and a Lilly Award.
