Widely lauded as the next Tyler Perry, playwright Priest Tyaire has made a name for himself producing plays that address social injustices and their impact on families, like the examination of gender-equality in his last play 'Mrs. Independent'. Now he turns his hand to the relationship between father and child in the riveting 'Torn Between 2 Fathers', an emotional exploration of abandonment, familial responsibility and ultimately, forgiveness.
16 years after the birth of his son CJ, troubling truths come to light when Chase realizes he was part of an intricate scheme to ensure the boy had a stable upbringing. CJ's biological father abandoned him at birth, seemingly apart of the plan all along. Caught in the chaos, CJ questions the relationships he has with his two fathers and the family must undertake an emotional journey that breaks generational curses and the absentee-father cycle.
