The future stars take on Mozart's Don Giovanni!

Marking a departure from the formal concert format of previous years, the promising talent from WNO's Domingo-Cafritz Young Artists Program will be performing a semi-staged production/concert version of Mozart's Don Giovanni in its 2017 season. The Young Artists Program was founded to support singers, instrumentalists, conductors and composers about to break into their careers professionally.

The live music is provided by the WNO Orchestra and conducted by Michael Christie with direction by Artistic Director Francesca Zambello and follows Mozart's timeless anti-hero as his Machiavellian attempts at seduction are deliciously thwarted, seeing the rake finally punished as the rogue he is in this deviously comedic and duplicitous masterpiece.
