The Suzanne Farrell Ballet, named for its founder and Artistic Director, (also known as 'The Greatest American Lyric Ballerina',) launches its 2015/16 season with the inclusion of two Balanchine classics and a tribute to William Shakespeare on the 450th anniversary of his death.
It seems like a perfect fit for the company to adopt more Balanchine (or 'Mr B.') into their repetory as Suzanne herself was famously the iconic choreorapher's muse and danced the lead for both Walpurgisnacht Ballet and Jewels. Upholinding her high standard, the SFB has danced nationally and internationally and is a sure fire treat for all fans of the medium.
