Don't miss their Winter 2017 turn at the Kennedy Center Opera House, where they'll be presenting Alexei Ratmansky's version of this rare ballet, the first to be based on a Russian story and scored by traditional Russian Folk music.

The tale of Ivan the fool and his magical horse and his battle to defeat the evil Khan and win the hand of the the Tsar-Maiden, this adaption of Pyotr Yershov's fable first premiered in 1864 and has gone on to be become an important cultural touchstone in its native country.
