Why See Boat People SOS: Our Journey to Freedom?

A night of celebration

The Boat People SOS was founded in 1980 to aid the so-called 'boat people' fleeing from Vietnam. It's grown into the largest American-Vietnamese advocacy and community development organisation in the country, providing invaluable national and international services. Since its founding BPSOS has served over 150,000 different refugees and immigrants.

This June it's holding a celebration of four decades of Vietnamese experiences in America. The evening is a unique melding of American and Vietnamese performing arts, featuring music and dance, in a colorful salute to the free world. Profits from the evening will go towards supporting victims of domestic violence, trafficking and torture.
